is that class is (countable) a group, collection, category or set sharing characteristics or attributes while order is (uncountable) arrangement, disposition, sequence.......

Order : it is an assemblage or group of related families.

For example : Dog and cat family belongs to order CARNIVORA.

Canidae and Felidae = Carnivora

Class : is an assemblage of related orders.

For example :

Order- Rodentia (Rat), Primata (Human, monkey, gibbon) and carnivora ( cat and dog) belongs to same class Mammalia due to presence of hair on body and mammary glands.
