1- Clinical thermometer are used to measure the temperature of body. Whereas, Laboratory thermometer is not used for the purpose of measuring body temperature.

2- Clinical thermometer temperature range: 35°C to 42°C.Laboratory thermometer temperature range: -10°C to 110°C.

3- Clinical thermometer is used for measuring human body temperature whereas laboratory thermometer is used for measuring higher than average human body temperature.

4- Clinical thermometer is simple device having shorter range used at homes, hospitals and clinics. Laboratory thermometer is a complex device used in laboratories for accurate temperature measurements in scientific fields

5- Clinical thermometer- It's use of mercury is most actively discouraged. Laboratory thermometer- It's use of mercury is less dangerous.
