focal length of a mirror depends on its polished side. Concave mirror is polished on outside so we have to consider its focal length from the inside and according to the sign conventions used in optics when we measure a distance on the left side it is measured as negative and vice versa

A convex mirror is a spherical mirror in which the reflecting surface and the center of curvature lie on the opposite sides of the mirror. In other words, if the mirror coating lies in the inside of the spherical surface, then it is known as a convex mirror.
