Difference between convex lens and concave lens is given below......
Convex lens...
it is a converging lens.
It can be supposed to be made up of a number of prisms with the base of each prism towards the Centre of the lens.
Convex lens converges the parallel beam of light.
It can be used in magnifying glass
Concave lens
It is a diverging lens.
It can be supposed to be made up of a number of prisms with the base of each prism away the Centre of the lens....
It diverges the parallel beam of light.

Convex lenses are thicker at the middle. .. Rays of light that pass through the lens are spread out .A concave lens is a diverging lens. When parallel rays of light pass through a concave lens the refracted rays diverge. So that they appear to move from one point called the principal focus.
