Renal cortex is the outer part of the kidney whereas renal medulla is the inner deeper part of kidney. they do also deeper in the presence of nephron's. Corticalnephron's are present in cortex and juxtamedulla nephron's are present mostly in the medulla with a small part present in inner cortex.
