Deseret are the areas which recieves precipitation or rainfall less than 20 inches in a year. The climatic conditions of desert are very harsh (hot). Some deserts having cold weather. The animals that lives in the desert require less amount of water for their survival.
Mountain are those areas where rainfall occurs in large amount i. e. more than 800 mm. The climatic conditions are very cold. Conifers trees grow in large quantity. Animals such as big horn sheep, mountain goats, brown bear, black bear, grizzly bear and mountain lions lives there.
