1.These are sodium or potassium salt of sulphonic acids of hydrocarbons.
2.Detergents work well with both hard and soft water.

4.They dissolve faster in water.

Soaps:
1.They are sodium salts of long chain fatty acids.
2.Soaps cant be used for hard water.
3.They are fully biodegradable
4.They take time to dissolve in water.
ex: C17H33,COONa
