Difference between distance and displacement are :-

Distance:
@ It is a scalar quantity 

@ It has only magnitude 

@ it is always positive 

Displacement :

@ it is vector quantity 

@ it has magnitude plus direction which should be mentioned 

@ It can be positive,negative or zero
