In the early medieval period,the caste system was not so rigid and the womrn were treated equally.Also,they were given the right to choose their husband.

In the later medieval period,the catse system became rigid.

There were Castes namely:

1.Brahmas(Brahmins)

2.Vaishhyas(Seth)

3.Kshatriya (Rajput,warriors)

4.Shudras which served the upper castes.

The King lost their patronage to a wide extent in the late medieval period.
