differentiate between east flowing and west flowing rivers

East flowing rivers drains into Bay of Bengal and West flowing rivers drains into Arabian sea

East flowing rivers make delta at the mouth of the sea and West flowing rivers make estuary at the mouth of the sea

Area drained by East flowing rivers are greater and Area drained by West flowing rivers are shorter than that of West flowing rivers

Egs of East flowing rivers are Godavari, Krishna, etc. and Egs of West flowing riversare Narmada and Tapi.

• east flowing rivers contain more volume of water than west flowing rivers
• east flowing rivers form Delta at their mouths whereas west flowing rivers form estuaries
• east flowing rivers follow the natural slope ( towards east) and west flowing rivers follow the faults (towards west)
• east flowing rivers fall in bay of Bengal and west flowing rivers fall in Arabian sea
• east flowing rivers have greater number of tributaries than west flowing rivers
