  1.  WESTERN GHATS are continuous whether 
EASTERN GHATS are dicontinuous .
                                     and
 2. Western ghats highest peak is Anai mudi.
   Eastern ghats highest peak is mahendragiri.
                                     .and
3. Western ghats put high rainfall in mumbai region.
  Eastern ghats do not put any affect on the climate.

● western ghat are continuous chain of hills starting from tapti velly in the north to kanyakumari in the south.

● run almost parallel to west costal plain.

● western ghat act as a climatic barrier to the south west monsoon wind.

● most of the river thats aries in western ghats drain into Arabian sea.

☆EASTERN GHTS._______

● eastern ghats are discontinous chain of hills from mahanadi rivers in north and vaigai river in the south.

● run parallel to the eastern costal plain.

● eastern ghats lie on the rain shadow region of the south-- wind monsoon.

● most of the river that rise in eastern ghats drain into west bengal.
