EASTERN GHATS- The eastern ghats are broader and evenly distributed.The rivers such as Mahanadi,Godavari,Krishna and Kaveri form deltas at their mouth before falling into Bay of Bengal.The northern part of these plains is referred as northern circars. The southern part of these lain is referred as coramandal cost.
WESTERN GHATS- The western ghats are narrow and rocky. Small rivers like Narmada and Tapi are only two rivers which slightly flow towards the Arabian sea. The northern part of this plains is known as Karkan. The southern part of this region is called Malabar cost.
