Sustainable development:

Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

It is a process whereby the development can be sustained for generation. It affords the future generation the same, if not more, capacity to prosper as the present generation.

Economic development:

Economic development means the rate of production is greater than the rate of increase in population and the rate of growth of GDP is high enough to fulfil the basic needs of the population.

Although economic development produces wealth to the nation by increasing goods and service but on the other hand it pollutes the environment badly by overuse and misuse of natural resources. So, it is considered as the bane to the mankind.
