Electrolytes are salts or molecules that ionize completely in solution. As a result, electrolyte solutions readily conduct electricity. Nonelectrolytes do not dissociate into ions in solution; nonelectrolyte solutions do not, therefore, conduct electricity.

Direct Answer :

Electrolytes -

  • Electrolytes are chemical compounds that can dissolve in water forming ions.
  • These ions can conduct electricity through the solution.

Non-electrolytes -

  • Non-electrolytes are chemical compounds that do not form ions when dissolved in water.
  • They do not conduct electricity when dissolved in water.
