1. Protons are positively charged and neutrons are neutral whereas electrons are negatively charged.

2. Protons are found in the nucleus; they belong to the group of nucleons. Neutrons are found in the nucleus; they belong to the group of nucleons. Electrons are found orbiting around the nucleus of an atom in defined energy levels.

3. Protons are symbolized as ‘p.’ Neutrons are symbolized as ‘n.’ Electrons are symbolized as ‘e.’

4. Protons weigh 1.672 * 10-27 kg. Neutrons weigh slightly higher than protons. The weight of electrons is negligible when compared to the weight of the protons and neutrons.

1 Protons and neutrons are from the class of baryons or particles made up of 3 quarks while electron is from the class of leptons

2 Protons and neutrons are not fundamental particles while electrons are fundamental in nature. What this means?

a Electrons can not be divided into simpler particles but protons and neutrons can be.

b Protons are made up of the trio of two up quarks and one down quark.

c Neutrons are made up of the trio of one up and two down quarks.

3 The ratio of mass contributed by electrons to the total mass of atom is negligible. While protons and neutrons contribute almost all the mass to the atom.

4 The spin off an electron is 1/2 ( +or-) while that of baryons is a whole number.

5 The charge on electron is -1 . The charge on proton is +1 . On neutron there is no net charge.

6 Electrons orbit the nucleus of the atom while the nucleus of itself made up of neutrons and protons.

Thanks for asking

Hacket: In simple way
Hacket: Protons are positively electrically charged
Hacket: and have a bigger masses than electrons
Hacket: and similar masses with neutrons
Hacket: Electrons r -ve charged, orbit the nucleus and r decayable
Hacket: Neutrons r neutral
