differentiate between ethanol and ethanoic acid under the following heads 1-taste and 2-NaHCO3 test

1-Ethanol has sweet odour while ethanoic acid has pungent odour.Ethanol taste bitter as it's base and ethanoic acid tastes sour as it's acid

2-When NaHCO3 reacts with ethanoic acid it tends to give product as sodium ethanoate,CO2(Carbon dioxide) and water(H20) , it also gives brisk efferverence where as ethanol doesn't react with NaHCO3.

Chemical reaction:

NaHCO3+CH3COOH------->CH3COONa + H20 + CO2

Also, ethanol doesn't change the colour of blue litmus to red whereas ethanoic acid does change the colour of blue litmus to red.
