Excretion is a process of removing waste materials from the body which are produced in a result of metabolic activities in body whereas osmoregulation is the process o maintaining osmotic pressure inside the body.
In amoeba, the process of excretion takes place by diffusion through the body surface. The waste materials include carbon dioxide and ammonia move from cytoplasm to contractile vacuoles which moves close to the boundary and excrete them in the environment.
