Differentiate between Executive and Legislature


QuestionWolf: Well, I just found the real answer in my NCERT Civics book-
QuestionWolf: The legislature refers to our elected representatives whereas the executive is a smaller group of people who are responsible for implementing laws and running the government.

The Act was the first law to distinguish between the executive and legislativeresponsibilities of the Governor-General. As provided under the Act, there were to be four members of theCouncil elected by the Court ofDirectors. ... In 1858, the Court ofDirectors ceased to have the power to elect members of the Council.
