Answers
Explant is the short plant part which may be root tip or shoot tip having growing points used for tissue culture technique...whereas callus is an unorganized and undifferentiated mass of cells formed from explant when kept in nutrient medium.
Answer:
hii mate,
hope ur doing good.
the answer to ur question is :-
Explant - Explants are small pieces of plant parts or tissues that are aseptically cut and used to initiate a culture in a nutrient medium. Explants can be taken from different parts of a plant such as shoots, leaves, stems, flowers, roots, and from many types of mature cells provided they are able to de-differentiate into totipotent cells.
Callus-
Callus is an undifferentiated mass of tissue. In tissue culture technique, the cells or tissues taken up from a plant under sterile conditions are kept in test tubes containing culture medium, they grow into callus. This callus is then transferred to another medium which induces the formation of plantlets.
Hope it helps !
