Differentiate between Fibrous and Adventitious roots.​

Fibrous Roots :

• Roots arise from base of the stem. The primary root is short lived and is replaced by large number of roots.
• All monocot plants such as maize, wheat and sugarcane have fibrous roots.

Adventitious Roots :

• Roots arise from the parts of the plant other than the radical.
• It is found in grasses, banyan trees and Bryophyllum.
