Differentiate between Fuse and MCB.​

The difference between fuses and switches lies in the way they work : Fuse: Consists of a metal piece or filament that breaks when heated above a certain temperature. When it breaks, the electric flow is interrupted. Fuses respond faster than switches, but affected fuses have to be replaced with new fuses.

MCB stands for Miniature Circuit Breaker. It automatically switches OFF electrical circuit during any abnormal condition in the electrical network such as overload & short circuitconditions.

Fuse is a piece of wire of a material with a very low melting point. When a high current flows through the circuit due to overloading or short circuit, the wires gets heated and melts. As a result, the circuit is broken and current stops flowing.
