differentiate between ginning and retting

Ginning- it is a process which involves separation of cotton fibre from cotton seeds.It is an extraction process by which fibres are obtained from the stem of the plant.
Retting- in this process, seeds are separated from cotton by combining. These fibers can then be separated from the non-finrous matter by hand.
