Answer:

There are many difference between glass slab and a prism, Some important difference are as follows.

Glass slab Prism

(1) Refer image .1

It is a transparent plat in which both Reflecting surface are Parallel to each other Refer image.2

It is a transparent plate in which both reflecting surface are at an angle.

(2) Incident and emmergent light are parallel to each other (Only get Lateral shift) incident Ray deviat by some angle Aflon Repetition from all Reflecting surface

When a narrow beam of a monochromatic light, passes through

(a) glass slab: It deviates from the actual path but the direction of incident ray and the emergent ray remain parallel.

(b) glass prism: The splitting of white light into its constituents seven colors occurs and the direction of incident rays and emergent rays are not parallel to each other.

(ii)

(a) When white light incident upon the slab them, A the 1st Reflecting surface. All colour in white light get separate but When it Reflect from 2nd surface them it will mixed and make white light. So only lateral shift will be seen by some distance.

(b) Whereas when it is fall on the Prism, white get disperse and it appear in different colour on the screen Right side the prism.
