habitat- is defined as the dwelling place of an organism which provides for all the needs of the organism. there are2 types of habitats aquatic and terrestrial habitats. A habitat has biotic and a biotic factors. Eg of habitat- desert, mountain etc.

Adaptation- is defined as either physical or behavioural changes in the body of an organism to help it to better survive in it's habitat. There are 2 types of adaptation physical and behavioural adaptation. A short term adaptation is called acclimatisation. Eg of adaptation- camel having long legs to keep it's body away from the hot desert sand.
