Harappan/Indus Civilization: Indus civilization was started in 2500BC. It is called Indus Saraswati Civilization because this civilization was settled along the Saraswati river (80%) and Indus river(20%).
Indus Civilization was spread over Sindh, Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, UP West, Northern Maharashtra, Rajasthan.
Harappa and Mohenjodaro were the capital cities during Indus Civilization.
Indus Civilization was primarily urban. When I say urban it means the city was well planned, roads were in good condition.
Women have several rights.
Societ was not divided during Indus Civilization. Casteism hitted our society during Rig Vedic period.
Quarters were provided to the workmen.
Export rate was higher than import rate.
Copper made mirrors were used.
Well maintained drainage system.
Decorated bricks were used for making the house.
Main crops- Wheat & Barley
It is situated between two rivers named Tigris and Euphrates.
People from Mesopotamia did not believe in after life. They believed that all people go under ground as ghosts and eat dirt.
Mesopotamian cities were known for their diverse array of artisans and craftsmen.
At that time people used to believe that they are the servant of God.
The Wheel, Sailboat and irrigation systems were invented during Mesopotamia region.
Mesopotamian soldiers were paid with wooden coins while During Indus civilization coin did not exist
