Answer:
sorry I am not able to write answers in Malayalam.
- Flow duration
- The Himalayan rivers are perennial in nature which means that they flow throughout the year without a lean season. This is due to the nature of its source in the form of glaciers that continuously supply water. Peninsular rivers are non-perennial due to its dependence on monsoon rainfall. Thus peninsular rivers have a lean period of water flow in summer.
- Sediments
- The Himalayan rivers carry large amounts of sediments because they are younger and continuously engage in erosion in the upper reaches. The peninsular rivers are older in age and their erosion activity has been stopped long ago. Thus the sediment levels are also low.
- Drainage structure
- The Himalayan rivers are antecedent in nature that means that their path was established long before the upliftment of Himalayas. This has resulted in them cutting deep gorges. The peninsular rivers follow mostly the consequent pattern in which river flow is guided by the slope of the land.
- Deltas
- The Himalayan rivers form deltas due to the nature of the deposition of sediments. These deltas are fertile and support large scale agriculture. The peninsular rivers show both deltas as well as estuaries. The west-flowing peninsular rivers mostly form estuary whereas east-flowing rivers form deltas.
