Hindu Mahasabha was an organization in India which mainly supported the Hindus. They believed that India was a land for Hindus where they were in majority. Many of the Congress members were attracted by the ideals of the Hindu Mahasabha and joined it. Muslim League was formed in 1906. It was standing for the Minority  Muslim population in India. They demanded seperate voting in the provincial elections tio protect the interests of the Muslim population. Hence seperate seats were alloted for the Muslims in 1909 elections. It did not allow its members to join in Hindu Mahasabha or RSS (Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh)
