The main difference between them is that house is concrete. House refers to a building in which someone lives. In contrast, a home can refer either to a building or to any location that a person thinks of as the place where she lives and that belongs to her.
There indicates a place as in, "I live here not there." It is the opposite of here. Their is thepossessive of they, as in "They live there but it isn't their house." Here you want to indicate that the house belongs to them.
For example, you ask "What name to give to your son do you prefer?" because there are many possible names to give to a baby, including the ones in other languages.
Suppose instead that you are talking to somebody who is telling that his wife prefers Michael, her mother prefers Andrew, and his mother likes Alberto.
