Horizontal power sharing refers to the sharing of power between different organs of the government placed at the same level. Therefore no one organ can control others as they are checked each other.
Vertical power sharing involves the distribution of power to different levels of government which are placedone above another. That is each level of government is placed at different places so that they enjoy powers which are made for them.
The usage of power differs in the second form and governments lower to the central or union or federal government are subordinate to the general government.
