Differentiate between humidity
relative humidity
Answers
⭐Absolute humidity/ humidity is the measure of water vapor (moisture) in the air, regardless of temperature. It is expressed as grams of moisture per cubic meter of air (g/m3).
⭐Relative humidity also measures water vapor but RELATIVE to the temperature of the air. It is expressed as the amount of water vapor in the air as a percentage of the total amount that could be held at its current temperature.
The water content in the atmosphere is called humidity.
The ratio between the amount of water vapour present in the atmosphere and the total water holding capacity of the atmosphere at a given temperature is called relative humidity .
It is usually expressed in percentage .
For example , if the absolute humidity is half of the total water holding capacity at a particular temperature , then the relative humidity will be 50%.
Relative humidity is measured using an instrument called wet and dry bulb thermometer
