Absolute humidity/ humidity is the measure of water vapor (moisture) in the air, regardless of temperature. It is expressed as grams of moisture per cubic meter of air (g/m3).

Relative humidity also measures water vapor but RELATIVE to the temperature of the air. It is expressed as the amount of water vapor in the air as a percentage of the total amount that could be held at its current temperature.

\LARGE{ \underline{\underline{\sf{ Humidity}}}}

The water content in the atmosphere is called humidity.

\LARGE{ \underline{\underline{\sf{Relative\: humidity}}}}

The ratio between the amount of water vapour present in the atmosphere and the total water holding capacity of the atmosphere at a given temperature is called relative humidity .

It is usually expressed in percentage .

For example , if the absolute humidity is half of the total water holding capacity at a particular temperature , then the relative humidity will be 50%.

Relative humidity is measured using an instrument called wet and dry bulb thermometer
