1. the image is real.
2. the image is inverted.
3. it shows the same hand and the side.
4. used for artistic reasons, but also for educational purposes to let pupils learn about, and experiment with, the basics of photography.
plane mirror :-
1. the image is virtual.
2. the image is erect.
3. it can be recorded on camera.
4. your right side appears left and left appears right. (also called lateral inversion).
5. used in periscope and to record TV programs.

- The image formed by the pinhole camera is real and inverted
- The image formed by the pinhole camera may not be equal to the size of the object.
- In pinhole camera image may be at any distance from the hole.
Image formed by plane mirror :-
- The image formed by plane mirror is virtual and erect.
- The image formed by a plane mirror is always equal to the size of the object.
- The image is at the same distance behind the mirror as the object is in front of the mirror.
