It is a large flat landform created by the DEPOSITION of SEDIMENTS.
More rivers coming from highland regions, from which ALLUVIAL SOIL forms.

COASTAL ALLUVIUM soils occur on gent sloping to nearly LEVEL PLAINS as the NARROW striped path along the WESTERN COAST.
They are deposited soils consists WASHED DOWN MATERIAL from the WESTERN GHATS.
