Internal examination

• Internal examination as the name suggests is conducted by internal system of assessment. It may include essays, quizzes, class activities or presentations etc.

• All of these are assessed by internal examiners.

External examination

• External examination usually occurs at the completion of the course work or depending upon the institute's regulations, it may happen at the end of each semester.

• This involves the assessment from external examiners who are neutral.
