differentiate between Kharif and rabi crops in 4 points

Rabi crops:

1. These are sown at the start of winter and harvested in Spring or at the start of Summer.

2. Some crops cultivated in this season are wheat , gram , peas and mustard.

3. These are grown in last parts of India such as Punjab Haryana Himachal Pradesh Jammu and Kashmir Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh are the important production of wheat and some other Ravi crops.


Kharif crops:

1. These crops are grown during the monsoon in different parts of the country. These are harvested in September to October.

2. Major kharif crops are paddy, maize, Jowar, tur, moong etc.

3. Major Areas where paddy is cultivated are awesome West Bengal coastal regions of Odisha Andhra Pradesh Tamil Nadu Kerala and Maharashtra Uttar Pradesh and Bihar etc

Kharif crops:
These are the crops grown in rainy season extending from june to october hence are also called as monsoon crops. These crops are totally rain dependent crops. Kharif crops include paddy,soybean, sugarcane.

Rabi crops:
These are the crops grown in winter season extenting from october to march. These are winter crops depending on irrigation sources. Rabi cops include wheat, gram, mustard etc.
