⚡⚡⚡⚡ DIFFERENCES BETWEEN LOK SABHA AND RAJYA SABHA ⚡⚡⚡⚡


1] Lok Sabha is the Lower House whereas Rajya Sabha is the Upper House.

2] The members of Lok Sabha can be directly elected by people representatives whereas the members of Rajya Sabha can't.

3] The members of Lok Sabha can be 552 whereas the members of Rajya Sabha can be only 250.

4] Out of 552 members of Lok Sabha, 530 members are elected from different states whereas out of 250 members of Rajya Sabha, 238 are elected from different states.

5] 2 members of the Lok Sabha are nominated by the President whereas 12 members of the Rajya Sabha are nominated by the President

6] At present, Lok Sabha has a total of 131 seats whereas at present, Rajya Sabha has a total of 245 seats.

7] Lok Sabha didn't give so much attention to the adequate representation to the marginalized communities as Rajya Sabha. Rajya Sabha comparatively gives more attention in this case.

7-Min age is 25

RAJYA SABHA

1-the Rajya Sabha is called as upper house

2-It is lead by chairman

3- It is a permenant house

4- Terms of 6yrs

5- total members 250

6- indirectly elected

7- Max age-35
