Answer:

Difference between Pitch and Loudness

The pitch of a sound is our ear's response to the frequency of sound. Whereas loudness depends on the energy of the wave. The pitch of a sound depends on the frequency while loudness of a sound depends on the amplitude of sound waves.

Loudness :- The loudness of sound depends upon the amplitude of vibration of the vibrating object. Greater the amplitude louder the sound. S.I. unit of loudness is decibel (db). The loudness of sound is directly proportional to the square of amplitude of vibrations.

Pitch :- The pitch of a sound depends on the frequency of vibrations.

Difference :- The pitch of sound depends on the frequency while loudness of sound depends on the amplitude of sound waves.

Hope it helps you!!!!
