The axis line for the geographical true north/south is called the geographical meridian and the axis line joining the magnetic north/south is called the magnetic meridian. The angle between them is called the magnetic declination. ... The North Magnetic Pole moves over time due to magnetic changes in the Earth's core.

Answer is given below.

Explanation:

Given,

Differentiate between magnetic meridian and geographic meridian.?

The meridians run from north pole to south pole. for assessing the direction, true north or 0 degree is used as standard. modern Gyro compass have very less error ( 1 to 2 degree) while determining direction.

In olden time magnetic compass was used to find the direction. even now it is used as a standby equipment on ships and air crafts. The magnetic compass has 2 errors called deviation and variation. Deviation is due to presence of ferrous metal on ship . The variation is due to varying magnetic field of earth. If we remove the deviation , then compass will point to a direction few degree different than true north. The magnetic meridian is running as a great circle through the compass and magnetic north shown on it.
