Majority charge carriers are the ones that are abundant in quantity, They are mostly responsible for the flow of electric charge in a conductor or semi-conductor. these are usually electrons.
Minority charge carriers are the ones that are lesser in quantity. They have a bigger part to play in solar cells and bipolar transistors. These transverse carriers can also outnumber the majority carriers specifically in the transfer region.
