Rainfall in these forests is less than 70 cm. These types of forests develop in the deltaic region, and does not concern with the rainfall
Babool, kikar, palm, cacti and acacia are the main plants. Sundari is the major tree found in these types of forests. The others are agar and keora.
Found in semi-arid regions of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Found in the deltas of Ganges, Mahanadi, Kaveri, Krishna and Godavari.
