mass is the amount contained in a body while weight is the force by which the earth pulls a body towards its centre

Mass is scalar while Weight is vector.
MASS is matter content in the body,WEIGHT is due  the force of gravitation on the body.
mass remains constant everywhere,weight changes with change in gravity.
SI Unit of mass is kg. for W=mg SI unit is N.
