The Technology Teacher vs Human Teacher

People assume that the word Teacher is confined only to the walls of the school and the brick mortar boundary and that the teacher word is basically related to the only educational world. But, this notion is completely wrong; Teacher is not related to education only.

The teacher is the one who inspires and encourages the student to strive for greatness, and the one gives shape to their potential. They teach new things to us, we learn new things everywhere be it in the office, in marketing field or business etc. The teacher can be anybody; a parent, a friend, a boss.

“We remember the teachers that taught us academics but we don’t often think of those teachers who taught us life’s lessons.”

The life of student without a teacher is just the like a piece of unshaped diamond stone. Teachers guide students through each and every pivotal stage of their development.

Today, in the world of technology, e-learning is in vogue. E-learning module was introduced to save time and give liberty to the student to learn anytime from anywhere. E- Learning process helps the student to learn things in a fun and easy way. We would agree that there's a lot of potential of the technological supplementation of the education process. But, still, it cannot replace the position and necessity of human teachers.

Let see some more advantages of human teacher as compared to a machine:

Human teachers help the student to learn how to interact with people: Even a well-educated person is useless if he/she not able to interact with people. Technology gives data to teach the student about the interaction. But, human teachers teach us how to be social and teach us the sense of interaction.

Human teachers build confidence: Confidence does not come through reading some articles or blog on the web. It is a process of mutual training. it comes when two people talk to each other. Here, the teacher plays a very crucial role. They ask the student to answer the question, interact and participate in other activities which boost the confidence of the student. A word of appreciation from the teacher uplifts the morale of the student.

Human teachers can nurture creativity: Software could help a student solve math problems or develop vocabulary. The software is very helpful in developing sequential analytical skills. But what about the things that are unpredictable. Software never teaches the skill of solving unpredictable things. The art of developing creativity and skill cannot be taught by machine. It comes when teachers give challenging things and task to do.

Teachers make learning easy: Not every time you are in the mood to study. Human’s teachers understand it better. Human teachers always try to make the class more interesting and fun, to make study less mundane. The teacher plays an important role after parents in moulding the students. Students are to be handled with affection and patience. The student’s point of view must always be considered and the teaching should be student-centered.

The teacher can cater to many problems of the student related to his thoughts, behavior, career etc. The phrase that -The relationship between a teacher and student should be like a fish and water but not like a fish and fisherman should be kept in mind always.
