(iii) Lustre Metals are lustrous. They have shiny surfaces.
Metals are non-lustrous (except iodine).
(iv) Ductility They are ductile. They can be converted into thin wires.
They are non ductile.
(v) Malleability They are malleable. They can be converted into thin sheets by hammering (sodium and potassium are exceptions).
They are brittle. They will break down into pieces when beaten by hammer.
