- metals are malleable ,that is , they can be beaten into sheats
- Non-metals are non-malleable , that is , they can't be beaten into sheats
- Metals are good conductors of electricity
- non - metals are bad conductors of electricity.

Metals are good conductors of heat and electricity but non-metals are poor conductors of heat and electricity. Metals are ductile in nature i.e. it can be drawn into thin wires. But non-metals are not ductile. Metals are malleable but non-metals are not malleable.
