Differentiate between middle class and New middle class

Technically there is no clear cut definition of who constitutes of middle class in India. The economic division of people lies into 8 category from Super Rich to Ultra Poor.

But, the last decade has witnessed the new class from the middle class emerging classified as "new middle class". This class consists of people who spend $2 to$10 per capita per day and constitutes about half the population of India consisting both Urban and Rural Population.

The increase in consumption level of individual has resulted into the emergence of this new class.
