Meiosis:

Cells use this method for reproduction.
Chromosomes in the daughter cells becomes half the chromosomes of parent cells.
Two cells are formed.

Mitosis:

Cells use this method for growth and development.
Number of chromosomes do not change.
Four identical daughter cells are formed.
