MITOSIS:
=> Involves in one cell division
=> Results in two daughter cells
=> Daughter cells are genetically identical
=> occurs in all organisms except viruses
=> prophase is much shorter
MEIOSIS:
=> Involves in two successive cell divisions
=> results in four daughter cells
=> Daughter cells are genetically different
=> occurs in only animals,plants and fungi
=> creates germ cells
=> prophase 1 takes much longer.
