Mixed cropping is growing of more than two or more crop in a particular piece of land at a particular time. This can be done with definite row proportions (intercropping) and without definite row proportions (mixed cropping). This cam also be differentiated as replacement series and addition series for intercropping based on the population percentage of the base and the intercrop.

Where as crop rotation is growing two or more crops in the same piece of land across seasons.

removal of weeds from cultivated field during the early stage the growth of crops is essential for good harvest becoz weeds compete with the crop plant in gaining nutrition , water and minerals and due to this the crop plant may die.so removal of weeds is nessasary..
