\LARGE\bullet\:{\underline{\sf\green{Modem}}}

➠ A Modem is a hardware device which means Modular-Demodulator

➠ It is a device which is useful in the transferring of data through Telephone lines

➠ We know that a computer can only read a digital signal but only analogue signals can be transmitted in the form of radiations.

➠ So a modulator converts a information from a digital signal to a analogue signal and then back to a digital signal.

\LARGE\bullet\:{\underline{\sf\red{Router}}}

➠ A Router is a device that is atleast connected to 2 devices.

➠ They are usually located at gateways , that is the place where two or more networks get connected.

➠They use "headers" and forwarding tables to find out the best path for forwarding the data, and then they use protocols such as the ICMP to communicate with each other.

\LARGE\bullet\:{\underline{\sf\orange{Switch}}}

➠ It is a connection point from where a data gets transmitted from one device (it may be a computer but not always) to another

➠ It is a much safer way and it recieves the message and knows to which device the data has to be sent

➠ This ensures that our data doesn't get sent to any other device.
