Movement of sensitive plant such as touch me not plants are response to external stimulus to defence them but the movement of shoot towards light is bcoz of apical meristems which get collected at the side of presence of light due to which it shows bending.
Hope u like my ans and make it brainliest

Answer:

The movement of leaves of a touch - sensitive plant is called Thigmonastic Movement.

The movement of shoot towards light is called Phototropic Movement.

Explanation:

  • The movement of leaves in a touch-sensitive plant occurs due to reduction in the turgor pressure in the leaves.
  • The reduction  in turgor pressure  is caused by the changes in ionic potential across the cell membrane. This promotes the movement of water from inside to outside of the cells.
  • The movement of shoot towards light is happens due to a hormone called auxin.
  • Auxin is produced by the apical cells of a plant (both shoot and root apex) and promotes cell elongation.
  • Auxin is sensitive to light and so the plant shoot the tend to accumulate it in that part of the shoot apex which is away from light. This causes the elongation of cells in the part of the shoot apex which is away from light, causing the plant shoot to bend in the direction of light.
