Prairies suffer harsh weather conditions where as velds suffer moderate weather conditions. Prairies are mainly known for the mass food production where as velds are known for cattle rearing and mining. The prairies are mostly plain where as in the velds there are plateaus ranging fromm 600m to 1600 m high.

1 Meat pack in & processing is the cheif industry of Argentina.This industry is one of the largest meat exporters in the world.
2 Cattle rearing is done on commercial scales.
3 The animals are kept in large farms called esctancia.
4 The bones of animals are used for making fertilizers and the hides and skins of animals were used as by-products.
